BubbleBoy article

CLEVELAND - Sunday's Bra and Panties Tag Team match featured
plenty of frenzied hair-pulling and cat-fighting action,
but it was hardly the sloppiest event that Stacy Keibler
has participated in as of late.
Keibler spent two days in Los Angeles earlier this year,
filming a role for the movie Bubble Boy, which is set for
release August 24.
The stress of performing on the road with WCW helped prepare
her for the filming of Bubble Boy, but Keibler still marveled
at the workload on the set.
"It's a lot of hard work," she said. "We
started at like 6 or 7 (a.m.) and didn't end until maybe
9 at night. We did the exact same scene maybe 50 times and
it's maybe a second long on the screen. People don't realize
how much work it really is."
Bubble Boy, starring Jake Gyllenhall ("City Slickers"),
comically tells the story of a young man who lives within
a plastic sphere in order to barricade himself from germs
and diseases that his weak immune system cannot fend off.
In an effort to win $500, the Bubble Boy enters a mud-wrestling
match where he must take on the seemingly easy task of defeating
several females.
"Little does he know that he'll have to wrestle us
to win the prize," Keibler told WCW.com with a wry
smile. It's a funny part.
For Keibler, the brief filming provided a glimpse of, hopefully,
her future career. "It was a really good experience,"
Keibler said. "I've been in other movies as a featured
extra, but this was more of a part. I had my own trailer
and I got to see what it was all about."
Keibler got the part thanks to her exposure on WCW. Bubble
Boy director Blair Hayes II first saw her appear on a WCW
Pay-Per-View and offered her the role. Unfortunately, Keibler
said conditions on the set prevented her from fully displaying
her wrestling talent.
"We had a lot of things planned going in that we couldn't
do because the pit wasn't padded and we were getting beaten
up a lot," she said.
In other Keibler news, fans can rest assured that the massive
train derailment in the WCW beauty's hometown of Baltimore
didn't affect her home or family. The accident wreaked havoc
in Baltimore, spewing gallons of toxins into the atmosphere.
But Keibler, thankfully, is safe.
